This page explains how users can request deletion of their personal data
from the Storyshort application in accordance with GDPR and other
applicable data protection regulations.
How to Delete Your Account and Data
If you wish to delete your Storyshort account and associated personal
data, you have two options:
Option 1: Delete Your Account Directly in the App
- Open the Storyshort application on your device
- Navigate to your Profile section
- Tap on Settings
- Scroll down and select Delete Account
- Confirm your decision when prompted
Once confirmed, your account will be permanently deleted, and all
associated data will be removed from our systems within 30 days.
Option 2: Contact Us Directly
If you are unable to access the application or prefer to contact us
directly, please send an email to:

In your email, please include:
- Your registered email address
- Your account name (if applicable)
- Subject line: "Data Deletion Request"
We will process your request within 30 days and confirm
the deletion via email.
⚠️ Important Information

Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. Once
your account is deleted, you will not be able to recover it.

All your data including viewing history, preferences, and coins will
be permanently deleted.

If you have an active subscription through the App Store or Google
Play, please remember to
cancel your subscription separately
through your respective store to avoid future charges. Account
deletion does not automatically cancel subscriptions.
📋 What Data Will Be Deleted?
When you delete your account, the following data will be removed:
- Your account information (name, email, password)
- Viewing history and preferences
- Purchased coins and in-app purchases
- Any personal data associated with your account
- OAuth connections (Google, Facebook, Apple login data)
🔄 Guest Accounts
If you are using the app as a guest (without creating
an account), your data is stored locally on your device. To delete this
data:

Simply uninstall the application from your device
- This will remove all locally stored data

Note: Subscriptions purchased as a guest can be restored through the
App Store or Google Play but coins canno't be retrieved
Data Retention
We may retain certain data for legitimate business purposes or legal
compliance, such as:

Financial records required by law (e.g., invoices, tax documents) for up
to 7 years

Data necessary to resolve disputes or enforce our terms of service
- Anonymized analytics data that cannot be linked back to you
